Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0948007A2] The kick-down switch has a switch housing (1) enclosing a spring-loaded operating element (14) with automatic length adjustment via a ratchet, cooperating with a switch element (19) provided with a movable switch contact. The ratchet has an adjustment angular position allowing linear relative adjustment of the ratchet elements and a working position in which the ratchet elements abut one another, the switch element cooperating with a housing stop in the adjustment angular position.
