[origin: EP0949049A2] The press has a frame (1) containing a fixed press table (2) with vertically movable pressing plates (3, 3',3'') above and below and cylinder-piston devices (4, 4'). Mechanical synchronizers are used (5) for vertical guidance of the movable pressing plates. Groups of several piston-cylinder devices above and below the press table are supported by the frame and connected to a pressing plate.
