Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2759943A1] The mosaic panel is made up of a series of identical small squares, (1) e.g. of a synthetic resin material, set in rows and columns and attached to a layer of a supple material such as kraft paper, which is removed once the panel has been fixed in place. The small squares are set at an angle to the panel's horizontal and vertical lines and are positioned so that the corners of adjacent squares touch and rhombic gaps are left between them. The angle of inclination of the small squares is of the order of 17.5 degrees, with the corners (2) of the squares projecting from the edges of the panel used to align one panel with another. After the panel has been fixed in place the gaps are filled, also with a synthetic resin.
