[origin: EP0949182A2] With a descending movement of the load arms(6) the load holders(8) are pivoted by protrusions(3) on the sides of the pallet from a first position lying in the vertical direction inside the cross sectional area of the protrusions to a second position located outside this cross sectional area. With an ascending movement of the load arms switching elements located above the load holders on swinging arms(7) are brought into a position in which the load holders are externally guided around the protrusions.
