Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0949597A2] The lock has a latch mechanism (72) coupled to a carriage (68) that is moved by a leadscrew (66) driven by an electric motor (64). The system has a position sensor (62) that consists of a pair of reed relay devices (80,82) that signal the end positions of the lock mechanism. An FM transmitter transmits information or alarm signals to a control unit or to an alarm device, e.g. a siren or a telephone unit.
