Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9829598A1] A method for the treatment of cellulose fibres in a pulp stream (22) comprises the following steps. A pulp is prepared (21). The pulp is subjected to a bleaching, comprising at least a bleaching step (25, 30) by the addition of an oxidizing bleaching agent. After the bleaching, liquid is removed (28, 33) from the pulp while obtaining a residue liquid and at least a part flow of the residue liquid obtained is conveyed back to the pulp stream (22) via a transport conduit by means of a pump device. Said part flow of the residue liquid is treated by oxygen (45) by the supply of oxygen to the part flow downstream of the pump device.
