The invention is characterized in that it has at least one weight body which is fitted at the second end of the crank arm, and which is formed, dimensioned and positioned in such a way that, upon releasing the actuating element, the crank arm automatically swings into a rest position, whereby the crank arm runs substantially upwards from the bottom bracket ball bearing, in relation to the direction of the weight force. The invention further relates to a bicycle or medical exercise device equipped therewith.
