Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0951942A2] The method involves using electrostatic rotation atomizers with a rotating bell plate (22) on whose end surface the paint is fed over a flow surface (30) to a spray edge (32), from which the sprayed droplets containing the effect particles pass to a work piece. The paint material is fed to the spray edge on the flow surface in a surface region bounding on the edge in a direction at an essentially constant angle to the rotation axis. An Independent claim is also included for a rotation atomizer for series coating of work pieces.
