Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0951996A2] Through a control (12) with selected ink inlets the pipette roller (2) is set to the largest possible value of the pipette strip width. This is done via a drive (13) independently of the actual machine speed. At the end of the ink inlet the strip width is returned again through the control and via the drive to the value provided for the actual machine speed. The control is in active connection with the drive of the printer and preselectable speeds are provided for the inlet process.
