[origin: EP0952039A2] The arrangement has a driving environment detector, an arrangement for detecting a reference driving style of the vehicle driver, comparison logic (6) for evaluating the reference driving style with an actual style determined by the driving environment detection arrangement and a warning device (7) controlled by the comparison logic. The driving environment detection arrangement is in the form of a distance sensing arrangement (2), from whose data relative lateral displacement of the motor vehicle with respect to the road boundary can be detected.
