Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0952061A1] The drive unit has a bogie (3) carrying a vehicle box without a frame. The bogie includes two wheel sets (30) each driven by a motor (5) and is connected to the vehicle box by a suspension (9). The motors are connected to their respective wheel sets via a transmission (6) and elastic elements including a hollow shaft (32). They are connected to the vehicle box by other elastic elements (81).
