Abstract (en)
The knitted fabric with a raised nap, for the lining of automobile interior furnishings, is shaped into a complex three-dimensional structure by the outer visible shaped structure, with a foam and a rigid support system. The material is produced on a knitter with a gauge of 36-40 with a yarn thickness of ≥ 44 dtex. The knitter has two bars with a 40 gauge, with yarn thickness of 17-44 dtex fed to each bar. The material has a stitch density of 20-30 stitches/cm. The length of the needle bars is set to use up 40-55 cm of yarn for 240 stitches for the first ground needles and 50-75 cm for 240 stitches at the second needle bar. The fabric weight is 75 g/m<2> using two gauge 40 bars using yarns of 22 dtex and 33 dtex is in a stitch structure of: Bar I Bar II 0 2 1 3 - - 2 1 1 0 The fine nap raising of the fabric gives an over-thickness of 0.1-0.3 mm.
