Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0952327A2] The crankcase has a coupling bell (4) molded or flanged onto it. The coupling bell has through apertures (6) which are covered by a thin-walled bowl, shaped to correspond to the internal shape of the coupling bell and is inserted in the bell. The bowl has a central aperture (11) through which the crankshaft can pass. The bowl may be made of plastic or thin sheet metal.
