Abstract (en)

An enclosed fireplace adapted to burn gas has an insert fitted behind a glass panel with artificial logs, surmounted by a throat. The upper section (4) of the throat has a transverse horizontal panel with gaps at both sides and a chicane above it formed by two or more inclined panels (40, 41, 42) offset relative to one another in the horizontal plane. The plates reduce successively in width in an upward direction; the lower plate is set at 8 -11 degrees to the horizontal, and those above it are at 1.5 to 3.5 degrees to the lower plate.

L'invention a trait à un dispositif de cheminée à insert à gaz. Il se distingue en ce qu'il comporte un avaloir (2) comprenant d'une part, une plaque disposée horizontalement en travers de son ouverture d'évacuation des produits de combustion, dans la région médiane de celle-ci, et d'autre part, au-dessus de ladite plaque, une chicane formée d'au moins deux plaques inclinées par rapport à l'horizontale et décalées l'une par rapport à l'autre dans le sens opposé à celui de l'inclinaison. <IMAGE>
