At least one matrix wheel (10) is rotatably located in the frame for the peripheral compression of the seam parts (2, 4). The punch and matrix wheels are so arranged relatively to each other in the frame that seam parts lying one on top of the other can be moved under them or over them and/or the punch and matrix wheels are movable over or under the seam parts. Sensors are arranged in the device and the process-relevant data from them is transmittable to a control, regulating, monitoring and/or evaluation device.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Vorrichtung und ein Verfahren zum umformtechnischen Fügen von Teilen. Um die Steifigkeit von fügetechnisch verbundenen Teilen zu erhöhen, die Herstellkosten zu senken und eine Wasser- bzw. Gasdichtigkeit zu ermöglichen, wird vorgeschlagen, eine Fügenaht als linienförmige Durchsetzfügeverbindung herzustellen. Das kann erfolgen, indem entweder rotierend bewegliche Werkzeuge eine Durchsetzfügeverbindung herstellen oder diese durch Hubwerkzeuge, deren fügewirksame Werkzeugflächen linienförmig ausgestaltet sind, in die Fügeteile eingebracht wird. <IMAGE>
