[origin: EP0953706A1] The sliding wall (10) has a number of individual wall panels (13), each of which is displaced along a ceiling-mounted running rail (11) via a respective drive (17) with an electric drive motor, housed within a support profile (12) at the top edge of the wall panel. Each wall panel may have a local control for operation of the electric drive motor, coupled via a data bus with a central control for exchange of information.
