[origin: EP0953754A1] The four cylinders (101-4) send exhaust to a collector (12) which introduces a delay (14) before arrival at a proportional probe (16) which sends a richness signal y(t) to a synchronization unit (20) where a new signal y(k), correcting the delay in the collector is produced. A regulating unit (22) uses the corrected signal y(k) and a disturbance model representing anticipated variations between cylinders to generate an injector signal annulling the variations
