L'isolant est étanche et comporte une matrice (12) en PTFE et des fibres (141, 142, 143, ...) de renforcement mécanique, continues et de grande longueur,. L'isolant est soit sous forme de ruban, soit sous forme d'extrudat, de grande longueur. Application aux fils ou câbles d'usage aéronautique et/ou spatial. <IMAGE>
