[origin: EP0955502A1] The view glass plate (14) is adhered firmly to the outside of the metal cover frame (10) by adhesive ramps (16), which hold it at a distance from the cover frame, which extends downwards over the lower cover frame part at a distance from it. It screens off heat radiation from the lower cover frame part (20). The view glass plate also on both sides of the view aperture (12) extends over the adhesive ramps at least over a part of the metal cover frame side parts, which are provided for the cooking oven muffle. A metal heat screening component (40) on both sides of the view aperture (12) has downwardly extending side sections (50), which extend at a distance over side parts of the metal cover frame.
