Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19653895A1] The invention relates to a pump comprising a pump housing (2) which has at least one working chamber (14, 15) and a valve housing (16, 17) connected to the working chamber (14, 15), and an inlet valve (E) and outlet valve (A) arranged one behind the other in said valve housing. The pump also comprises a displacement element (8, 9) which can be moved back and forth and, by this movement, changes the volume of the working chamber. In said pump, the valve seat (26, 37, 39), the sealing element (27, 38, 40) and a valve spring (28, 41, 42) of the inlet valve (E) or outlet valve (A) which presses the sealing element (27, 38, 40) against the valve seat (26, 37, 39), are connected together to form a cartridge (22, 24, 34) which can be snugly fitted into the valve housing (16, 17). The cartridges (22, 24, 34) of both valves are inserted from the same side into the valve housing (16, 17) and supported on the pump housing (2) by means of a step worked into the inside of the valve housing (16, 17) in the direction of insertion.
