[origin: WO9833202A1] The invention concerns a photoelectric multiplier tube comprising: a photocathode PK with a semitransparent photosensitive film for emitting towards the interior of a tube a flux of electrons; a focusing optic comprising a first concave dynode D1 on the photocathode PK side, and a plurality of Rajkman dynodes D3,...D8 arranged on either side of a plane called dynode plane DP. The invention is characterised in that the focusing optic further comprises a second concave dynode on the re-emitting surface of the first dynode, the dynode plane DP having, with respect to the tube axis, an angle greater than 45 DEG , the concavity of the first Rajkman dynode D3 being directed towards the re-emitting surface of the second dynode D2. The invention is applicable to radiation detector for compact gamma-camera.
