[origin: EP0956806A1] The device has a locking connector which is manually operated to release it. The device upper part is swung up from an operating position to uncover the dust store for removal of dust. The upper part (6) can be swung up, from its operating position covering the dirt space (5) and closing off the upper section of the lower part (4), to an open position. In the open position, the dirt space is accessible from above to remove the dirt or replace with an empty dirt container. The suction unit (9) and separation device (10) are stowed in the upper part. The upper part has a locking shoulder (19) and locking recess (20), with the shoulder parallel to the direction of the swing axis. The locking shoulder is manually operated to release the locking connection by pushing locking arm (28) to swing the shoulder out of the recess. The locking element (27) is made of plastic.
