Abstract (en)
The surgical instrument comprises a shaft (9) for insertion into the femur, and a handle (2) which is approx. parallel to the direction of the shaft, and has its top end releaseably connected to a double sided coupling piece. On the top end (3) of the shaft a spigot (4) lies at an angle to the shaft and a hole (7) on the handle provides a releasable connection for the spigot. A rod (10) is passed through an open hole (12) in the handle.

Chirurgisches Instrument bestehend aus einem in den Markraum des proximalen Oberschenkelknochens einzusetzenden Schaft (9) und einem Griffteil (2), der etwa parallel zur Richtung des Schafts (9) mit dessen oberen Ende mittels beiderseitiger Kupplungsteile lösbar verbindbar ist. Die Kupplungsteile umfassen einen vom oberen Schaftende (3) schräg zur Seite vorragenden Zapfen (4) und am Griffteil (2) eine den Zapfen (4) aufnehmende Bohrung (7). Es sind lösbare Mittel zum Arretieren des Zapfens (4) in der Bohrung (7) vorgesehen, die von dem Ende eines in Längsrichtung des Griffteils (2) beweglich geführten Stabs (10) und einer dieses Ende aufnehmenden Bohrung (20) in dem Zapfen (4) gebildet sind. Das Stabende greift durch die Zapfenbohrung (20) hindurch und ist beiderseits von einer ihn führenden Bohrung (11, 12) abgestützt. Am anderen Ende des Stabs (10) ist dieser mit einer Handhabe (16) versehen, die eine Rasteinrichtung (23, 26, 27) zum Sichern des Stabs in seiner Arretierstellung aufweist. <IMAGE>
