Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0956932A2] A number of saw blades (SB) define parallel cutting planes extending in a direction perpendicular to the machine length direction. Wood is delivered to the saw blades via a feed region containing a number of parallel, elongated receiving parts (VA) for the wood being sawed up, extending at right angles to the machine length direction. The wood-receiving parts are moved around a continuous conveyor belt (FB) extending parallel to the cutting planes and used to transport the wood through the sawing region.
