The guard comprises a profile (3) with a transition region (4) forming a bridge between a flat surface (1) in the building and an adjacent wall (2). The profile is secured to the wall adjoining the flat surface. The transition region is formed by an L-shaped or cylindrical mantle containing grooves (5), and is integrally linked to the mounting region (8) of the profile secured to the wall.

Eine Schutzvorrichtung zur Vermeidung von Baustoffkorrosion bei eine Grundfläche (1) und einen Seitenaufbau (2) aufweisenden Bauwerken, insbesondere bei Flachdächern, Balkonen, Parkdecks und Terrassen, mit einem an dem Seitenaufbau (2) festlegbaren Profilteil (3) ist im Hinblick auf eine einfache und kostengünstige Montage derart ausgestaltet, daß das Profilteil (3) einen Übergangsbereich (4) zur Bildung eines Übergangs von dem Seitenaufbau (2) bis im wesentlichen zur Grundfläche (1) hin aufweist. <IMAGE>
