The IR reflector layer carried by one of the plastic insulating profiles (4, 5) between the warm and cold metal profiles (1,2) takes the form of a stretched IR reflector foil (9) positioned so that it does not contact the fin (8) of the plastic profile (4) except at the fin edge.

Ein Verbundprofil für Rahmen von Fenster, Türen, Fassadenelementen und dergl. weist ein warmes und ein kaltes Metallprofil (1, 2), insbesondere aus Aluminium und zwei diese Metallprofile (1, 2) unter Bildung einer Hohlkammer (3) verbindenden Isolierkunststoffprofile (4, 5) auf. Zumindest eines dieser beiden Isolierkunststoffprofile (4) weist einen sich in die Hohlkammer (3) bis in die Nähe des anderen Isolierkunststoffprofils (5) erstreckenden Profilsteg (8) auf. Diesem Profilsteg (8) ist zumindest auf der dem warmen Metallprofil (1) zugewandten Seite eine IR-Reflexionsschicht (16) zugeordnet. Bei einem solchen Verbundprofil ist die Isolationswirkung besonders gut, wenn die IR-Reflexionsschicht (16) an einer aufgespannten IR-Reflexionsfolie (9) vorgesehen ist, die abgesehen vom Firstbereich des Profilsteges (8) mit Abstand vom Profilsteg (8) angeordnet ist. Eine geeignete IR-Reflexionsfolie (9) ist gekennzeichnet durch eine 20 bis 50 nm starke Metall- oder Metalloxidschicht (16) zwischen zwei jeweils 10 bis 50 µm starken Polymerfilmen (15, 19) aus Fluorpolymer, Polyester oder Polyolefin. <IMAGE>
