Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9624414A1] The invention concerns a roller skating shoe with a shell (1) provided with a shaft (8) mounted so as to pivot. The sole (2) is provided with a mount (3) comprising two parallel tracks (4) in which several rollers (5) aligned substantially in one plane can be mounted so as to rotate. A brake unit (11, 11', 11", 111, 111', 111", 121) is provided within the confines of the mount (3) and is connected to the shoe shaft (8). In order to ensure easy and reliable braking with a roller skate shoe of this type, it is proposed that the brake unit (11, 11', 11", 111, 111', 111", 121) should be mounted in the tracks (4) so as to be capable of sliding along the longitudinal line of the latter, and that the brake unit should be provided in the vicinity of at least one roller (5) with opposing walls which close on one another and can be brought into contact with the side walls of a roller (5) during axial displacement; the brake unit (11, 11', 11", 111, 111', 111", 121) is in operating connection with the shoe shaft (8) via a transmission member (10, 10', 10", 110).
