[origin: EP0958845A2] The frame has a housing with at least two or more rollers (4-6) to guide and steer the climbing cable (7). The rollers can be positioned in a common plane (E) and at least one of the rollers has a free wheel by which a downward movement of the cable section (7b) on which the climbing person hangs is prevented. The three rollers can be arranged in the housing so that their axes (X,Y,Z) are positioned on the apices of a triangle. The cable can be guided two dimensionally in the plane of the rollers.
