[origin: EP0958943A1] The board (1) is made of an enamel coated steel panel and fixed to a frame (2,3) by insertion of its edges into grooves (11). The panel (1) is slightly elastic and bent into a convex shape. A transparent cover is attached to the front facilitating the insertion of ruled or otherwise prepared sheets between panel (1) and cover. Drawers (6) for the accommodation of chalks, markers, etc. (8) are integrated in the side areas (4,5). To avoid unwanted noise caused by writing or drawing on the surface, the back of the steel sheet (1) can be provided with a noise absorbing coating (10).
