[origin: EP0960816A1] A handling system for stacks of bags carried flat to a loading station has two parallel endless chain guides (1,4) onto which the stacks are laid. One chain guide is provided with evenly spaced grips along on edge. Studs (20) are clipped into the grips and are spaced to locate through holes in the lips of the bags. The studs have widened ends to lock into the grips and are easily pushed out of the grips at the end of the chain guide, by an automatic ramp.
