Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0960831A1] The package, e.g. a cigarette packet, has an outer film wrapper (2) which is removed by means of a tear-off strip (20) with an end tab (21). The package contains a coupon (3) inside the film wrapper which is also opened along a tear line (31) coinciding with that of the strip (20), so that when the package is opened the coupon is opened at the same time, giving immediate access to its contents. An Independent claim Is included for a method and machine for manufacturing the packaging.
