A vehicle hoist has two main ramps (20) which lift the vehicle using main hydraulic rams and with a secondary hoist (21) powered by secondary rams to lift the vehicle off the main ramp ie. to access the wheels. The rams are arranged with the cylinders fitted to lift with the rams and with the main rams having their piston rods (3) secured in the base of the pit. The piston rods of the secondary rams are braced on a cross strut (9) which links the cylinders of the main rams. This ensures that the secondary rams move with the main rams.

Hubvorrichtung, insbesondere Hebebühne für Kraftfahrzeuge, mit zumindest zwei Hubzylindereinheiten von je wenigstens zwei druckbeaufschlagten Hubelementen, die jeweils einen Hubstempel und wenigstens ein diesen umgebendes Hüllrohr aufweisen. Die Hubelemente jeder Hubzylindereinheit sind untereinander durch eine Gleichlaufeinrichtung verbunden. Die Hüllrohre jedes Hubelementes sind als ausfahrbare Elemente ausgestaltet und die Hubstempel einer Hubzylindereinheit sind mit den Hüllrohren einer anderen Hubzylindereinheit hinsichtlich ihrer Hubbewegung gekoppelt. <IMAGE>
