Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0960995A2] The vehicle driver identification device uses a mobile transponder (9) incorporated in a wrist watch (1), provided with a memory holding an authorization code and a transceiver for supplying the authorization code to an onboard receiver upon interrogation of the transponder. The latter may be operated from the battery (4) of the wrist watch and allows a wrist watch identification code to be transmitted together with the authorization code.
