[origin: DE19704540C1] The present invention relates to a method for active attenuation of a combustion oscillation in a combustion chamber (4) provided with at least two control elements (8). Said method is characterized in that an operating lever of the control elements (8) requires the combustion oscillation to be measured at a lower number of points than that of control elements (8). This is obtained mainly by using the symmetry of a sound vibration (30) generated by self-excitation in the combustion chamber (4).
