Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9837565A1] The invention relates to a thermal switching device, in particular a temperature adjuster, limiter or fuse controlled by a bi-metallic element, having a housing (1), a recess (2), a thermally sensitive element which is fitted in the lower section (3) of the recess (2), and a contact area (6), consisting of a dynamic contact (7) and a fixed contact (8) which is active between two connecting contacts (9, 10) mounted on the housing (1), as well as a transmission element (11) which transmits the movement of the thermally sensitive element onto the dynamic contact (7) of the contact area (6). The transmission element (11) is a swivelling lever accommodated on one side, which lever subjects the upper side of the thermally sensitive element (bimetallic snap-in disk (4)) to a lower, first projecting part (13) and the dynamic contact (6) to a higher, second projecting part (14).
