Abstract (en)
The vent comprises a cover (1) connected to an actuator (5) via two lever arms (7,8) pivoting in a clamshell configuration. A spring (9) is mounted to the lever and a mounting cradle (4). The spring biases the cover toward the open position. The fume escape vent composed of a three segment (a,b,c), first lever. At least two of the segments (b,c), in the first lever, are curved in a direction set under an obtuse angle. The balance (7) is mounted so that it is balanced on a fixed axis of a cradle (4). A second lever (8) has three segments (d,e,f), the segments (d,e) are curved in a direction under an obtuse angle and the third segment (f) is curved in the opposite direction under an obtuse angle. The second lever (8) is mounted so that it balanced by the end of the segment (f) on an axis fixed to the cross bar (3) of a cover (1). The actuator is hinged on the cradle and the end of the actuator rod (6) is hinged on the central segment (b) of the balance (7). The drive part (5) and a spring (9) form an interchangeable assembly mounted on the vent chassis (2).
