[origin: EP0962259A2] The paint roller has a cylindrical carrier for a cover of fur, plush etc. and a multiple-angle grip part of which the bearing arm for the carrier can turn in bearing shells moulded onto insertion caps closing the ends of the carrier. The free end of the bearing arm has a crimped point (12) forming an axial stop. The bearing shell (5) is closed on the outside. It has a sector (11) of the bearing widened at least to the diameter of the crimped point opposite the narrowed insertion end (10) for pushing in the crimped point.
