The container has a storage base (21) for storing cold items which has a retention panel (30) at least on its front facing away from the refrigerator door. The retention panel is an essentially closed holding wall removably mounted on the front of the base which extends at least approximately as far as the storage plane of the storage base.

Bei einem Ablagefach (20) für eine Kühlschranktür (10) mit einem zum Abstellen von Kühlgut dienenden Abstellboden (21), welcher zumindest an seiner der Kühlschranktür (10) gegenüberliegenden Frontseite mit einem Rückhaltebord (30) versehen ist, ist der Rückhaltebord (30) als lösbar an der Frontseite gehalterte, zumindest im wesentlichen geschlossenflächig ausgeführte Haltewand (30) ausgebildet, welche wenigstens annähernd bis in die Abstellebene des Abstellbodens (21) reicht. <IMAGE>
