[origin: EP0963801A2] The abutment surface (45) for the catch (42) used to fix the work tool part (11, 24) in the active (working) position is divided into at least two surface regions (45a-45d), as is the counter-abutment surface (36). The press contains a work tool whose upper work tool section (4) is mounted on a movable press tappet and has at least one work tool part mounted on it, this part being switchable between active and passive positions. A locking device (42, 51) used to fix the work in the active (working) position includes a movable catch with abutment surface movable in and out of position along with a counter-abutment surface.
