[origin: WO9840163A1] The invention relates to a method and a device for fragmenting bulk materials. A rotor (4) having beating elements (5) is positioned in the milling chamber of said device and surrounded by a sieve (6) which has several deflecting elements (7, 9) on its surface (6a). The milling process is characterized by a pulsing motion, whereby the direction in which the product is fed to and drawn away from the beating elements alternates, which separates the fines from the total flow.
