Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19709465A1] The invention relates to a method for producing scratch resistant coatings, especially scratch resistant multi-layer enamels, characterized in that the coating agents used contain; 1) a storage module E' in the rubber elastic range of at least 10<7.5> Pa and a dissipation loss factor tan delta of at least 0.05 at 20<0>C after hardening, the storage module E' and the dissipation loss factor having been measured by dynamic mechanical thermo-analysis on free films with a layer thickness of 40 +/- 10 mu m; 2) one or several polyacrylate resins with a hydroxyl value from 100 to 240, an acid value from 0 to 35 and a number average molecular weight of 1,500 to 10,000 as bonding agents; and 3) as a cross-linking agent one or more free or blocked isocyanates and/or triazine based constituents cross-linking hydroxyl groups of the binding agent to form ether and/or ester. The invention also relates to coating agents which are suited to this method.
