The hip implant has many grooves on the top surface and the rear section (22) has grooves (20) with a constant cross section. The grooves are transverse or perpendicular to the shaft longitudinal direction in the medial and proximal areas. Each groove is at a constant distance from each other.

Es wird eine zementfrei implantierbare Endoprothese aus Metall angegeben, die mehrere an der Oberfläche eingeformte im Querschnitt hinterschnittene Nuten (20) aufweist. Der Hinterschnitt (22) jeder Nut weist über die Länge der Nut einen im wesentlichen konstanten Querschnitt auf. Ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer erfindungsgemäßen Endoprothese verwendet Hochdruck-Wasserstrahltechnik, um die in Längsrichtung uniformen, bevorzugt geradlinigen Nuten und/oder Hinterschnitte zu erzeugen.
