[origin: EP0965418A1] The device consists of a basic frame (1) with a handle (2) and several grating and chopping inserts (3,4) which are stored in a compartment (5) positioned below the frame (1) and inserted into an open space (6) for use. The chopping device (4) has a rectangular frame with a blade (14) diagonally joined to the top. By moving a lever (15), swivel mounted (17) to one end of the frame (9) and guided in a horizontally positioned longitudinal slot (20) at the opposite side, the food carrying plate (10) is lifted or lowered, causing the blade (14) to cut a thinner or thicker slice as required.
