[origin: EP0965537A1] The teabag has at least one chamber (2, 3) consisting of filter material and containing a quantity of tea, which is closed at the head end. A thread (8) with a label (9) is attached to it. The chambers are closed at the head end of the teabag by a sheet (7) of heat-sealing filter paper. In the case of a double bag, the two chambers are connected by a cross-fold at the bottom (4) and the head ends are jointly closed by the filter sheet.
