[origin: EP0965547A1] The flat object processing device has an intermediate conveyor (18) with conveying elements (26) spaced out round the bearing shields (36). Each element has a roll segment driven against the running direction and its own belt conveyor (56). A control device (48) keeps the conveying elements parallel to each other as they run round.
