The electrochemical reaction of organic substrates is carried out in a cell with a solid electrolyte (ion exchange membrane) in direct contact with cathode and anode, using an electrolysis liquid comprising an organic solution which is essentially free from conductive salts and operating at the b.pt. of this liquid or at up to 5 degrees C below the b.pt.

Verfahren zur elektrochemischen Umsetzung organischer Substrate in einer Elektrolysezelle, die aufgebaut ist aus einem Festkörperelektrolyten, der aus einer oder mehreren übereinander liegenden Schichten einer Ionenaustauschermembran besteht und einer Kathode und einer Anode, die mit dem Festkörperelektrolyten in direkten Kontakt stehen, unter Verwendung einer Elektrolyseflüssigkeit, bei der es sich um eine im wesentlichen Leitsalz-freie organische Lösung handelt, wobei man die Elektrolysezelle bei der Siedetemperatur der Elektrolyseflüssigkeit oder einer Temperatur bis zu 5°C unterhalb ihres Siedepunktes betreibt.
