[origin: EP0965666A2] Card wire clothing has the fillet wire held in a cotton backing with an elastomeric cover layer which is made electrically conducting, preferably by the incorporating 1-10 mm lengths of 8 - 10 mu m diameter steel wire. Alternatively particles or a fine woven mesh can be used to make the backing conducting.
