[origin: WO9841795A1] In an incineration plant for industrial and household waste and sludge, comprising a generally vertically directed waste infeed chute (1), a waste infeed means at the bottom of the chute (1) for advancing the waste in a generally horizontal direction, possibly an infeed sluice and a downstream located combustion chamber (3), the waste infeed chute (1) or sluice is provided with at least one infeed tube (4) for adding sludge to the waste in the chute (1) or sluice and at least one pressure-feed appliance (8) for feeding the sludge through the at least one infeed tube (4). The sludge is preferably supplied to the plant via a hermetically closed supply system. The invention provides a reduction of odour problems and optimization of hygienic working conditions.
