[origin: EP0967840A2] The arrangement includes a control (10) which controls a pulse-width control (11,12) with clocked relays. An additional module (20) is connected with a signal processing circuit (21) with temperature sensors (33, 34), supplying temperature signals to a signal evaluation circuit (13) which blocks a heating current supply to a cooking point at reaching a maximum temperature value. If the temperature still rises after reaching the maximum temperature value, a main relay (23) connected in series in the heating current circuit of the cooking field control is opened. The evaluation circuit compares the temperature signals constantly with a maximum temperature value, and which blocks a heating current supply to the concerned cooking point through opening of the relays. The signal processing circuit of the additional module determines if the temperature still rises after reaching the maximum temperature value, and opens a main relay (23) connected in series in the heating current circuit of the cooking field control accordingly.
