Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19711083A1] The invention concerns devices for adsorptive substance separation by the permeation of fluids through porous adsorption membranes. The invention further concerns uses of these devices. Devices according to the invention consist of a cylindrical housing which is formed from a casing tube, a base element and a cover element and surrounds at least one adsorber module which is formed from adsorption membranes wound into a hollow cylinder, a cylindrical core being disposed concentrically in said adsorber module. An inner annular gap and an outer annular gap are formed between the inner surface of the hollow cylinder and the cylindrical core and between the outer surface of the hollow cylinder and the casing tube. Preferably, radial ducts which are connected to the inner annular gap are provided in the core for supplying the fluids and radial ducts which are connected to the outer annular gap are provided in the base element for discharging the permeate. The device can be used for scale-up and scale-down processes in the laboratory, technical schools and production by means of parallel and series connections.
